Dr. Thayer has been an ordained non-denominational minister since 1985, a graduate of Karios Institute in San Diego Ca. and a Doctor of Interpersonal Psychology through the University of Sedona. She served as the Associate Director of Techniques for Living Institute and is now the Director of Ceremonies from the Heart. 

A native of Long Island New York , Catherine lived and worked in San Diego for 25 years, performing wedding ceremonies for 20 of those years.  Her ceremonies are spiritual in nature and speak to all present in a common language showing respect and consideration to people of all beliefs.  Her work has been accepted and acknowledged by clergy of all denominations. She now brings her expertise and very special ceremonies to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

Rev. Dr. Catherine Thayer  has been referred  by most of the major hotels and resorts in the San Diego including the historic Hotel Del Coronado. In 2005 Dr. Thayer relocated to Pocono Lake Pa. bringing her experience and expertise to wedding ceremonies in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania , New Jersey and New York . She now has the privilege of being referred by the Caesars Resorts in the Pocono area and has performed ceremonies at many of the other resorts in the area including the Stroudsmoor Inn and Shawnee .
